Entrepreneur, managing director, consultant, strategist: Rainer Westermann shapes mission-critical communication and manages reputation risks for clients in Germany, the United States, and Canada.
His areas of expertise include litigation communication, crisis prevention and management, and executive communication. Throughout his career, Rainer has repeatedly switched between the roles of trusted advisor and responsible executive – serving, for example, as Head of Communications at Infineon Technologies and as a board member of NASDAQ-listed software company LHS Group in Atlanta. As CEO Germany of Burson-Marsteller, he realigned the firm’s strategic direction. In Toronto, he established the corporate communications and investor relations practice for Fleishman-Hillard Canada.
Rainer’s expertise is in demand: he is a board member of Reputation Advisors International, and since 2021, Chairman of the Board of the Life Sciences Acceleration Alliance e.V. in Munich. He also serves on the advisory board of the TUM Institute for LifeLong Learning and lectures at the TUM School of Management.
